Google AdWords: A Step-by-Step Tutorial
- Setting Up Your Account
Once you make the decision to try Google
AdWords the first step you must take
is to set up your account. Google offers
a number of features that control spending,
restrict geographic regions, exclude
ads from showing under certain conditions
and more. What I recommend you look at
first are the following.
The Campaign Settings section allows
you to control the days and times your
ads run, the amount you spend per ad
and per day, position preference and
more. These are the basis for each campaign.
If you aren’t sure which settings
are right for you, experiment a little!
For instance, use Google’s suggested
bidding for one week and then review
the results and make changes accordingly.
The best thing about AdWords is its
flexibility. If you don’t like
a setting, it takes about two seconds
to change it. Test and track to find
what works best for you.
