To start, make a list. What questions do you find yourself answering repeatedly? Frequently asked questions are usually great topics for articles. Is it nearing April 15th? Tax-related articles for corporations, small businesses and individuals are always popular. Do you specialize in a particular type of accounting? If you work only with nonprofits, you might compose an article about special considerations nonprofits face with regard to reports.

Do you have helpful advice for retirees? Do you field a lot of questions about IRAs? Distributing funds from estates? Requirements for deducting medical expenses? All these make excellent topics. Keep that pen and notepad handy. Each time you think of a possible topic, write it down. You'll soon have an impressive list to choose from.

Make a point to write at least one article each quarter. Publish it on your website and also make it available to the masses. Nothing converts prospects better than proving that you know your stuff!
